drivers fight on

BUS DRIVERS FIGHT ON.
Barnsley and Rawmarsh Stagecoach drivers voted this Sunday to escalate industrial action, with day on day off strike action. The strikes will start on the the 4th of February and continue on the 6th, 8th and 10nth of February. With further strikes planned should Stagecoach refuse to back down. Drivers feel confident of victory after local trade union branches, activists and members of the public made donations and offered support. Bus drivers feel they can force stagecoach to pay back pay which the drivers are owed right the way back to june. Pressure is now mounting on stagecoach as the strike is costing them thousands  bringing in scabs from outside the area and paying overtime and hotel expenses, as well as up to 60% of lost services. A victory for the bus drivers is a victory for us all. It will show that if we fight we can win.
